Got a Game you want Posted?
Do you have a game you would like to publish on this site? Just email me the notation along with any comments you have! Here is a game Evan played back in 5th grade. Evan played black and finished the game with a nice FORK of the King and Queen.
Learn notation! It's really easy and important! Remember, K=King and N=kNight. R=Rook, Q=Queen. x means a capture. format is (piece)[capture](end location) like Qe3 means "Queen moves to e3"... Rxa4 means "Rook captures the piece at a4"... for pawn moves there is no piece name specified (e4 means the e Pawn moves to square e4... exd5 means the e pawn captures the piece on d5). Castling is noted with either O-O (kingside castle) or O-O-O (queenside castle). Check follows the move with a #... as with Qxe8# ... ## is mate. A good move has a "!" following the move such as e5! and a questionable move has a "?" following the move e.g. Ke2?... a really bad move has ?? after it. A move which is surprising, and which could be good OR bad (not known at the time) has both the !? together.
